I think that Skeeter has changed the most because of at the beginning she wanted to be a writer and was different from everyone else. Later in the book she gets a job and writes her book. She does not have a lot of help and is just going off her ideas and beliefs. Skeeter has grown because when the book started she probably didn't believe that she would get as far, but she was able to figure out how to stand up and share what she believes even thought it is different than others.
ReplyDeleteI agree that Skeeter did go through a lot of character development. In the beginning of the book she seemed a little insecure, and just wished to fit in, even though she had different dreams than the other women. And then other the course of the story as she wrote her book and became a powerful figure in many people's lives she shed her old self completely and decided to finally be herself. She took basically being cast out of society by Hilly all to protect her beliefs and those who helped her achieve her goals, which shows what a strong character she became.
ReplyDeleteSkeeter is a major character who makes you feel part of her story and part of her change. In the beginning we see skeeter wanting to be a writer of sorts and later on we see she is pudlishing her own book. We feel how along with the help how the hesitance of not wanting to join in on being part of the book. But, skeeter has a way that stayed the same throughout the book. She was always different from the other women. Skeeter always saw the Help as more than just The Help. Skeeter changed from a quite person with an opinion to a strong independent women with the same opinion but with a louder voice.
